Bayswater Troops, The Napoleon of Notting Hill & AI is Ignorant!
The Bayswater borough was one of a number of London boroughs that ganged up on the borough of Nottinghill. Their predominant color was green.
I looked up AI answers about flags and it wrongly told me that the book, 'The Napoleon of Nottinghill' gave no details about borough flags - not very intelligent, Artificial Intelligence. The novel does indeed mention specific flags. Bayswater has a wreath on a 'silver background'; in heraldry 'silver' means white.
The green shields with white circle for the wreath and the addition of the 'B' on them and the flag is my own embellishment.
Hats were made from Green Stuff.
Oh dear, some green paint has transferred from my grubby fingers onto a sword and someone's nose. I also cut down a base, so I have to repaint the edge.
The flag bearer was made from an ACW Timpo Action pack Federal. The others are cheapo medievals. I covered the chainmail on the heads of most of them by adding a mix of brown paint, PVA and baking soda. Others I used Green Stuff for. The flag was made from wire and Super Glue tube.
The building is from Peppa the Pig.
I did do these figures in a rush so as to have them ready for next week's wargame, so they are a bit hit and miss in places.
