Reptilian SF Warrior Conversions

Having seen some similar conversions somewhere I decided to make some reptilian SF soldiers. Some small dragons provided the heads. The space warriors look like near future soldiers and are 50mm. They look much like present day soldiers but with thicker, more Warhammer style firearms. Some had substantial bayonets, that I cut off. I did the usual thing, cutting off heads and using a drill and wire to join heads with Super Glue and a little baking soda. I used to use two-part Araldite, but it was very messy and occasionally the two parts did not mix equally. Another technique is to apply heat from a lighter or hot knife and quickly join the two parts but I find that awkward and a bit nerve wracking.

The figures have been heat glued to plastic poker chips. Mode Podge was coated with a mix of sand, tea leaves, flock and baking soda.

Now here I want to hear any of your paint schemes. I'll paint these figures soon. I am leaning towards black uniforms with pink trim. The heads might be, green, grey, blue, aqua or red. What scaly skin color would go best with black and pink? Or let me know a different uniform color you favor.

My next wargame is going to be an SF one with possibly some influences from 40K for a Chaos army. These figures will be a little small compared to most of my 1/32 armies but they will just be little aliens. (If they were used with Warhammer figures they would be the opposite).

As for the guns should they be projectile or ray weapons?

I might well make some more of these and also some human figures. I already did some of the latter with a grey camo.

As for next wargame, it will feature various aliens, robots, cyborgs, tanks, flyers and huge robots or perhaps they are transporting crews.

The tank I'll feature in a future post.
