Camel Baggage train, Timpo Arabs & Additions To Orc Rider

A few years ago I made some baggage camels from cheap HK or Chinese camels. I added an assortment of plastic wooden cases and barrels.

Just now I finished the first three unmounted camels. These are the hollow, two piece ones of the same series of animals I have been recently painting. I decided to add some food bags. The ro[es were made from cotton, or round and flat wire. The Timpo Arab I painted a few decades ago, before they became quite so collectible.

Action Pack Timpo Arab with baggage camels.

While I had some two part putty mixed up I decided to add some bags to the orc's dinosaur mount. I also added a blanket roll and painted a design on the shield.

  1. Your camels looks good. Camels can be used for a lot of different periods as well. Norwegian troops used them in logistic services during the UN mission in Gaza 1956 - 67.

    1. Thanks Roger. I might base the new ones separately from holders so I can use them for different periods. I based the camel equipment somewhat on the British Camel Corps but could use them for all kinds of armies.
