Ming gets A Gigantic Armored 'Suit'.
I don't recall that Emperor Ming of planet Mongo had a giant walker to cavort and rampage about with but maybe he should have.
This is a Buzz Light Year I picked up, for a few dollars, from the op shop. I removed the dopey head and added a cut down resin copy I made of an ElastoWit Ming figure. I am not done painting him yet and he is not permanently fixed. I might also add a few controls for him to play with.
I also amputated a hand of the walker and added a circular buzz saw. I superglued, with baking soda, the joints although he ended up slightly swaying to one side. To prevent him from toppling over I added stones (from my camping trips) to weigh it down.
I haven't fully decided on the color scheme but I am leaning towards metallic blue.
Great conversion. I really look forward to seeing what you do with it next…

Thanks Alan, the problem I envisage is making him too powerful in any wargame!
DeleteI often start projects like this one and leave them for months before finishing them and sometimes not finishing them! This one should be completed sometime over the next few weeks.
I picture scenarios where the players need to judiciously avoid the walker as it destroys objects on the board... Or perhaps they need to go full Ewok on it.
