Giant Hulking Production-line
I have been picking up Hulk toys when I see them at op shops. So, why did I want these big action toys? Giants, of course! They will see possible action in my fantasy games. Mind you, as technology and, artillery, in particular, improve the giants are not quite as formidable as they once were.
One change I made was filling in gaps and joins, largely with DAS clay. I also made use of modelling putty, especially for adding some facial detail such as the new noses.
Below, at left, is a figure I finished a year or so ago. He has a new nose. In the foreground is one of the new ones, as yet unpainted.
This figure, below, has been given a fur vest and new nose.
This one kept his old nose. Narrow body gaps were filled with baking soda and Super Glue.
That arm, in the hand of the giant is an Airfix Multipose WW2 1/32 one!
I don't like the chances of that knight who is running away!
I had finished another giant from a Hulk but sold it. It was a particularly good one as the original figure had sandals and ancient looking armor.
There are small differences in the original Hulk figures which is all the better.
A giant had been conscripted into the Beersteiner army and served well but had eventually been cut down. Not even giants are impervious to other enemies, in that case the Undead.
I have decided that giants are too big to ride ships, but they could possibly wade shallow seas or swim to other lands.
The main appearance of our next campaign is the possibility of our expeditionary forces encountering lands where giants rule. It is a small chance but a chance just the same.
