The Stellans Disappear, King Kong is on the Move, Mobian White Whales Sink a Fezian & a Beersteiner Ship & a Fezian Expeditionary Force Encounters Silver Horde Scouts

That must be the longest heading I ever wrote yet it is all true. Many things happened in map move eleven, although only one emerging small battle.

My Beersteiner forces, victorious against the vampire on Dread Island sent a ship from there to aid the Beersteiner force on Skull Island. Although they are not quite as large as Blue Whales the White Whales are formidable enough and much more foul-tempered. It is likely the whales were also prompted in their actions by previous encounters with harpoons and also the wish to protect their young.

The Beersteiner ship, the  Merry Widow, was on its way to assist the small expeditionary force on Skull Island. In any case, the Beersteiner ship was, without warning, hulled by one of the beasts. The crew and guard infantry, who were not killed outright poured into the rowboats. Accounts from survivors related how the beastly 'fish' rendered a boat into splinters when it breached the water and landed right on it. The half of the men who survived rowed back to Dread Island. There was some irony in this disaster, considering  that the Sacred Whale flag displayed prominently on the Merry Widow and on the Guardsmen's flag.

Meanwhile, the ambitious Fezians, already engaged in a war on Stellar Island, had sent another fleet to discover a large island to the South of Dread and Skull Islands. The island would soon be called Dinosaur Island, and for good reason. However, initial inspection was yet to reveal any of the scaly monsters.

One of their ships was also attacked and destroyed by a White Whale and half the men on board killed. The remainder landed, in row boats or clinging to debris, on a part of Dinosaur island not too far from the main landing force.

On Stellar Island, the Stellans had recently repelled the Fezian force after their hero had killed the Fezian general. However, their forces were seriously depleted and word had been received of the arrival of another force of invaders from the eastern side of the island. To avoid fighting on two fronts the Stellans withdrew from the capital, however, this might have proven to be a bad decision as the second invasion force would not have reached them yet and they could have attempted to delay the initial army of invaders, now under the command of a wizard.

While all these events transpired Fezia had sent a force from its most northern castle to cross into the land of the Silver Horde. The aim was to find the kidnapped princess or else to threaten the Silver Horde into releasing her. The Fezian force of two units of horse archers, one of plate armored cavalry and two light infantry encountered to enemy units of  Mongol horse archers. As yet is unknown if the princess is with them.

The actions of the Mongols may have been to gain a bargaining chip against Fezia or perhaps the Khan just fancied the princess. Will the Fezian response lead to her capture and teach the Silver Horde a lesson or will the Mongols respond in force?

On Skull Island the Beersteiner force consists of two flintlock armed infantry units and two cannons. So far they have encountered no people and no unusual beasts. One of the night sentries related he had heard some very loud roaring the previous night. They had heard an old story of gigantic beasts living in this region of the world and the men were a tad nervous. Unbeknownst to them the massive ape, King Kong, was heading in their direction. King Kong was as tall as six or seven men standing on each others' shoulders. Kong was revered as a god by the stone age natives and they regularly mollified Him with young virgins females. These 'brides' were generally promptly eaten by Kong, but occasionally he kept them a few days as terrified pets.

Just how King Kong came to be on the island as apparently the only one of his kind has something to do with the unknown whims of the uber aliens who transported so many to Earth 2 but is beyond the ken of mere men.

  Further reports to follow...
