Hollow-cast Viking Repair Painted

Repairing old hollow-cast figures gives me the satisfaction of seeing old warriors rise again. As you can see, I also restored the horns. I followed the original colors except for the trousers as he had no legs. I didn't bother with the crisscross leather straps this time. I might change the sleeves to metal. I'll also add some green flock to the base.

So, the poor blighter no longer is destined to crawl around on the floor, and, as far as I know, there were no wheel chairs back then. 'Hagar' will now be joining the rest of my Viking bands, particularly the two handed weapon unit, ideal for hacking at monsters and armor.

COMING EVENTS AND THE FUTURE OF OUR CAMPAIGNS

The smoke signals Indian is almost complete and I'll be posting pics in a day or so.

Mat and I shall be having another wargame this week, another dinosaur hunt. I'll be organising the dinosaurs and Mat will continue with his Fezian expeditionary force on Primordia. There will be two more games, one which will be with a few hundred figures and one smaller game and it will most likely be the end of the colonial campaign.

When the campaign ends we will probably play a King Kong game (loosely following the original film plot) and one or two Funny Little Wars games with countries and armies decided randomly, by dice roll. Possibly there will be some other random games too. If you have special requests for eras let me know and we might get to them.

After that interval we will start planning the next fantasy campaign. As I have painted more 18th century and Napoleonic troops recently I'd like to keep the timeline not too much further in the future. After our next campaign the one after that we will most likely enter the mid to 1860s period equivalent. In fact, some ACW troops have already entered Bogavanian service to serve alongside his flintlock and sword units.
