The Movie Maker versus the Gigantic Ape

 King Kong was chasing Ann Darrow, the beautiful blonde actress, and her rescuer, Jack Driscoll, when a leathery beast appeared but Kong intercepted his rival, the tyrannosaurus. Karl Denham, the movie maker, set off with a group of shooters to capture Kong for a show in America. If they had to kill Kong at least he could exhibit the body but he brought gas bombs to knock him out. 

 Denham could see Ann and Jack, running over a hill, hotly pursued by both Kong and a dinosaur! Kong was outraged that the scaly beast could be after Ann. He grabbed a fallen tree trunk and bashed it over its head, killing it. 

  Ann and Jack saw Denham and his men on the other side of the river and headed towards them. Denham's me made a firing line and shot at Kong as e began crossing the river. Kong roared as the bullets tore into him but he continued his attack.

Kong crossed the river and charged the shooters. Someone managed to get another shot off before all but Denham were slaughtered. The ape even flicked his snot at the humans, something which threw them off guard. Another tyrannosaurus turned up and charged Kong. Denham tried to throw a gas bomb but failed. Denham took the opportunity to flee into the forest. Seeing another opportunity the stubborn Denham turned around and moved closer to Kong before throwing a gas bomb. The wind blew the gas away from Kong and Kong raged into the forest, picked up Denham and flung him more than ten meters into the air.

Ann and Jack made it back to the village where the cowed villagers left them alone. They boarded the boat and headed back to America where they were wed.

FIGURES

The films depicted the crewmen in civilian sailor outfits rather than pith helmets and Jack, when escaping Kong with Ann, was unarmed except for a knife. 

RULES
I used the Tusk rules adapted to 54mm and some Warhammer style rules.

NEXT GAME 

'Escape from Island X'. Two bands of dinosaur hunters must deal with tyrannosauruses and a volcano which can destroy the island. A naval vessel awaits to collect them. We will play that game in a fortnight.
