The Looming Battle of Mathers Castle.

A force of Bogavanians is about to arrive at Mathers Castle, with the intention of recovering it from the Beersteiners. They have a force of  two chain mailed units and two plate armored units on foot fo, a cannon and large catapult as well as a small force of archers and another small force of crossbowmen. The castle is defended primarily by 20 light archers, 3 catapults and a cannon and commaded by prince Axel. In addition a strong force of crusaders had been given the task of adding to the castle defence. They consist of two mounted and two foot units of plate armored fanatic crusader knights. Two of these units are larger than normal, with 19 men in one of the mounted units. The attacking force may well have some misgivings at the task given it.

Meanwhile both sides in the war have been scouting each other's land. The light mounted Beersteiner forces have escaped capture due to the Bogavanian lack of mounted troops.
