Elastolin Composition
At the Melbourne bazaar I visited I bought a handful of Elastolin knights. I'll post the others when I remember where I put them but this is the first one which caught my eye. For commercial figures they have some nice detail, notably with the fine eyes.
As far as I know these were made in Germany during the third Reich or just after and were made of sawdust and resin on wire armatures.
For ten dollars each it was a reasonable price for fairly rare figures.
I posed the figure next to a DSG knight for size comparison.

That's has been a great series of posts. Some very nice figures in your hauls ! The elastolin figure is however beautiful.The African woman is pure gold, Thoughts of H R Haggard.
