New AWI And ACW Cabinet Displays.

These are my most recent cabinet displays, featuring Revolutionary War and ACW/Indian Wars. Most of the Revolutionary War figures are a mixture of AIP and BMC.  You will also see a Timpo sergeant and a few Britains Swoppets.
The Americans blue uniforms here appear lighter than what they are. The AIP figures I bought off the Internet already painted to a basic level. I doubt if they were properly undercoated as paint as coming off in flakes. I covered the figures with PVA and then added some further detail, notably on faces. I decided to leave the white wigs out of nostalgia for Timpo although their use had largely gone out of fashion in the military, with some officers still wearing them.

The Timpo figure was already a repainted Brit and I further repainted him as an American and gave him a proper face. The drummer is an AIP French and Indian Wars figure so his uniform is slightly different but not too out of place. The BMC figures were used to flesh out the regiment into some respectable numbers. You can also see a mounted George Washington from BMC.

Oh no, one soldier's eye is higher than the other  the shame!

Whoops, there's some blue plastic showing on a hat - I have to fix that.
I love these Cresent and Cherilea guys. Most have been repainted in either enhanced or original style. i played with a handful of the Cresent when I was a boy and also some brown and silver plastic HK copies of the firing cavalry dismounted figure.
                                          Mostly Accurate and Marx Brits.
Accurate loyalists in green and BMC Hessians, these being the nicest of the BMC York Town set.
                                                 BMC French with American artillery
To he right American infantry - Britains and Marx.
A few Accurate figures are interspersed with them.
BMC Brit grenadiers in the background.
AIP Woodland Indians

Cresent and Cherilea ACW or Indian Wars cavalry

I used the Hero Clicks connecting hexes to raise figures in the background.
