More Hollowcast Repairs Underway.

I am currently following the lead of Man of Tin example and repairing old hollowcast.

My own prefered method is to use copper wire and then paper tape and Green Stuff.

At top left is a Hilco cowboy with broken horse legs cut shorter to enable drilling. He is going to be a big challenge, especially to make the pisto at the end of the wire arm.

The Hilco fusilier will be easier. The mounted figure needs a grey horse if he is going to be a Scots Grey, and probably a sword arm. The horse leg repair should not be too hard.

All these too needed were new heads and they are going to be dragoons.

These too are not hollowcast but solid home castings from Airfix bus passengers. I have replaced the heads with some spare castings of fusilier heads. they will be wagon drivers in greatcoas.
Here is the fusilier repaired and with extra equipment added. The base was a spare casting of a base. The rifle is wire and paper tape coated in Superglue.

This figure is a home casting of a Rritains guardsman with a rifles head added.

  1. These conversions look like they are going well, I look forward to seeing how you get on and to seeing the finished figures.
