Brewster Buffalo Partially Completed

My metal plane is starting to look like it is ready for service. Some of the propellers were broken so I cut off and filed the remaining ones and I'll add a clear plastic disc to simulate rotating ones.  I still have to paint stars on the underside of the wings, paint numbers, maybe make a control panel, alter a World War One pilot and make a clear canopy. I also need to paint a cartoon character on the sides.

Although the toy has a circle etched around the star I notice now that my historical references don't have this so I might paint over this cicrle. Any thoughts?
