Metal Motorcycle Sidecar

I bought this motorbike with sidecar at a Melbourne Sunday market many months ago and had forgotten where I put it until recently,
  The model is metal with non revolving wheels and no brand name. The rider is a removable civilian although the bike is in military colours. Most likely I'll convert the rider to a military figure.

  Anyone who knows something about motor bikes might be able to tell me what era it represents. I also would be moderately interested in knowing the model's origin but it looks like a very good home casting.
