Indian Mutiny And Other British

These were shown in a much older post but here they are again.

Metal and plastic Guardsmen. The two ones at left are either home castings or repainted hollowcast Britains. The one at right is a HK plastic copy of Herald.

General Collier is based on a fellow collector.
Either home castings or restored hollowcast with older style heads that represent the Horse Guard around the 1820s, I think. In the rear are some Britains New Metal Britains Horse Guard.
Home castings of Fort Henry Guard. I have used these for British invasion of America, 1860s.
Indian Mutiny Brits. I studied the Indian Mutiny at university so had a special interest although I never made much more than a unit. they also served in the invasion of America! The bodies are Timpo Action pack Confederates and the heads are Timpo Action pack French Foreign legion. My collector friend Bob sold me heaps of these Confederates and FFL many years ago but some, especially the FFL had been exposed to heat from the days when he had shelves immediately below his tin roof in his old shed. Consequently they suffered from brittle plastic. The heads were useful though!
'Chatting and laughing' as they attacked Delhi. The dust and odd cobweb betray that they have been standing on that shelf a few years! One figure has an Accurate bandaged ACW head. Another has a Historex Napoleonic bare head. If you look closely you will see that they were the days when I could be bothered painting pupils as well as irises! I paint so many figures that I usually don't bother now unless the face is especially large, as with some 60mm figures and larger.
In the rear are some British volunteers for the Italian war. Dunne's regiment. they also participated in the invasion of America. They are Accurate with herald bugler.
It is not clear here but the officer with straw slouch hat has a pepper box pistol converted from a revolver, I think. The uniform idea came from the Osprey book on the topic.
