Temple Of Cats

Inspired by HG Wells and Frank Perry, I made this temple from wooden blocks quite a while back but unlike them, I made it into a permanent structure, although with removable roof. The cat statues are a more recent addition. Actually the prone animal could almost be a jackal. The cats either side of the entrance are recent work from cheap plastic cats. The others were picked up by me in the late 90s when I was in Egypt.

This will feature in today's wargame where the Sultan of Fezia attempts t put down the Caspian rebellion. The Caspians are closely related in origin and culture to the Patrans.

Below: The Caspians have erected a cat statue on the Fezian temple t0 the Moon, an outrage that will, no doubt, elicit reprisals.

  2. Nice!
How did you add texture to your woodenblock-buildings?

  3. I used a mixture of PVA, plaster and sand. I have heard of also adding flour.
