Augmented AIP Boxers

Armies in Plastic has filled many ranks in my armies. The standard of sculpting is good, the poses useful for wargaming and the subjects have filled a void in cheaper 1/32 plastic toy soldiers.

However, I did notice, after I had already painted some, that the kneeling firing Boxers lacked stocks for their muskets. Admittedly, the arm partially hides where they should be, but I decided to fill in where they should be visible.

BELOW: Green Stuff stocks have been added. (The standing firing already had them).

P.S.

After going to the trouble of adding stocks a FB friend, Marl Taverna, confirmed for me, something which had passed my mind, Chinese matchlocks often/usually lacked a musket stock. Instead, there was a downward grip, almost like an extended pistol grip. As the Chinese used a wide variety of firearms, including matchlocks, flintlocks, percussion muskets and more modern rifles both depictions are probably permissible. it does mean I won't bother adding the putty stocks to my other kneeling figures.
