Jacobite Highlander Cherilea Conversions, Romanesque Dwarf & WW1 Engineer.

I am gradually adding more Jacobite highlanders to a unit recently begun. But I like some variation in poses and there was no bagpiper.

As a complete distraction, the figure at left is a Romanesque dwarf - more on that in another post.

I cut off the original arms and added wire armature. The pipes came from an AIP pith helmeted Highlander. The rest was made from Green Stuff and wire. The arms have also been added from Green Stuff.
Here are a bunch of unfinished Highlanders. The heads have been removed and repositioned on three of them.

The rear rank includes, in the center, a metal converted Viking and two resin figures I made from that same figure. The new additions are in front and includes a flag bearer with his flag removed.

The bagpiper has a canteen added. I don't know what they carried water in but thought he might get thirsty, what with losing so much spit with playing the bagpipes. The shoveling figure is a 1985 Buddy figure converted to be a WW1 Frenchman. I cut off the collars and trimmed the front, so the shirt does not button all the way down. I will post a pic when I finish the painting.
