More Animals Undercoated

I have undercoated some more animals. The two smaller ones are Yowie marsupials that came in little plastic eggs and are hollow, assembled from parts. I filled in the gaps with putty. I might not paint them in their natural colors but just as generic stripy or spotted fantasy animals. Scale wise they are too large to go with 54mm humans if I wanted them to be what they are intended.

The three larger animals were made from two pieces and are hollow, like the bear, I recently painted. The gorilla can be used in gorilla warfare! The lion has been given a saddle blanket! I fancy him having a female Viking-like fantasy warrior riding him, or maybe I should paint another one and have them pulling a chariot. DSG make female Vikings, one mounted and one dismounted. In my fantasy world they are of the Hill People, who have partial allegiance to Chaos and the Chaos gods.

The rhino I just liked. I'll be painting over the undercoats soon.

  1. Interesting to see what they finally end up as.
Gorilla warfare? I imagine that an 'ape army' can recruit and train gorillas as 'special weapons'. Or perhaps some of your miniatures just accidentally runs into a gorilla going rouge? Many possibilities.

  2. Quite so, although I just liked the look of them.
