Cheapo Western Figure Acquisitions
Recently, at the local Sunday market, I bought a five dollars lot of cheapo cowboys and Indians. I almost passed it up as I already have hundreds of them and also the originals. Most of them were copies of Airfix but I noticed a few others I did not have.
Below are copies of Britains plastic swoppet and a herald one in red. The cowboy firing rifle is either very unskilled or very skilled. He holds the rifle at a weird height and turns away as he is about to shoot! The Indian is a good copy.
Below, in cream, is an unusual copy of Airfix as it combines a foot figure with a mounted one but it is not the best with less distinct molding.
Copies of Airfix and some others. The cream plastic chief with spear, at bottom, is a copy of Britains Herald.
These cream ones, below, are a distinctive version as the faces are actually more strongly defined than in the originals and I actually prefer them to the originals. I tend to convert these into Mongols or Arab warriors.
The brown plastic ones below are copies of Jecsan and are smaller than the other figures. I'll make them into goblins. The yellow plastic figure is a copy of Tmpo. I quite like these even though they are a bit crude.
MPC figures. They are a little on the small side but have nice detail. Some have MPC on the bottom of the base and some don't.
A hard plastic oriental looking female is also just visible. She was a premium with people of the world in national costumes,
Chloe was very interested and thought they would be a good place to lay.
Assorted figures that I don't know much about.
Some very nice dogs - I especially like the one with his head down as he would look good with a collar and leash. Which army should I put him with?
The Indians to be Mongols again.
