Fezian Carnosaur
Carnosaurs are ferocious meat-eating dinosaurs that can be trained (from hatching) by a rider who bonds with the creature. The stats Mat and I decided to use are from the Games Workshop Lizard Man rules.
The toy was a cheap secondhand one which had moveable limbs and jaw. That is before I Superglued them in place. I added the bridle and waist strap from paper sticky tape and I used some jewelry chain for the reins. Some colorful metal bodkins were Superglued where the bridle met the chain and also on the creature's snout. Gaps in the hard plastic, hollow toy's joins were filled with Testor's putty. The saddle and saddle cloth was made from Green Stuff.
The existing paint colors were touched up and dry brushed. Reichland Flesh wash was used on the base of the teeth and for lines on the claws. It was also sparingly used on the orange chest and throat.
The rider is a Hong Kong copy of a Britains detail Turk or Saracen. The sword was from DSG.
The base is thick card with real stones and also some dry tea and green flock.
I made the figure in two days, doing the painting in about an hour or so yesterday. It has been made for the wargame we had today and more on that later.
