Weird Metal Objects From My Camping Trip Used As Scenic Items With SF Figures
Recently I went on a camping trip by a local creek but found the area had been burnt out a month or so ago. The fire had at least got rid of the usual plastic bottles and toilet paper. A few glass bottles remained and a couple of metal things.
I always collect some objects for my toy soldier hobby, usually some flat stone flint to place on bases.
I found two strange rusted metal objects. One was spiky and would look good on an Ork or a Mad Max type vehicle or maybe as a personnel or vehicle impediment. The other item was shaped like a Space marine shoulder pad.

The two objects with a cute little alien which reminds me of something from Chariots of the Gods. It is around 45-50mm. The original inspiration was Japanese Dogu figurines that were meant to be magical.

Rather than go to the trouble of replicating rust with sophisticated paint techniques why not use naturally burnt and rusted metal artefacts?
