Dinosaur With Rider Conversion Painted

I'm fairly happy with how this turned out. The rider's legs came from an Airfix cowboy and represent metal chaps (like what the ancient Persians wore). The rider has bonze armor.

Painting dinosaurs offers a few pathways. This time I went for a traditional lizard coloring - a greenish grey, pretty much German Field Grey and off-white belly and throat. (I could just as easily gone for bright garish colors with birds as the inspiration). Dry brushing lighter shades brought the scales out nicely. I gave him a blue tongue and red eyes. The various chains were from my store of jewelry items. The head shields and metal around the saddle cloth are metal drawing pins pressed into the plastic. The saddle cloth is Plasticine. There is a spot of red on a leg which needs to be painted over (or left as a wound or an enemy's blood).

    1. Thanks. The dinosaur is still a young tiddler but formidable enough.
